The Doctors at Barrier Reef Medical Centre reserve the right to refuse to issue a script without an appointment. Scripts will only be issued if the following conditions are met:

At Doctor’s discretion
Only long term medication issued at this surgery
Patient has had a consultation at this surgery within the last 6 months
Allow 48 hours for all script requests to be actioned
If you do not wish to pay a script fee we welcome an appointment. Please book on-line or phone the surgery for an appointment.
Prescriptions issued are for collection from the surgery only.

NB: No phone or e-mail request for scripts for narcotics/opiods, benzodiazepines, any drugs of addiction or antibiotics or other medications for acute problems will be actioned. Scripts for these issues require a consultation with one of our Doctors. Repeat prescriptions will be charged the following fees:

1 page $15.00
2 or more pages $20.00

*An extra charge may be required if your prescriber is required to access external information
