Dr Rowan Harrison
I am a proud Cairns local, having grown up here my entire life. I graduated from James Cook University in 2011 and spent the next five years working in various roles in the hospital system before moving into GP training in 2016. I’m currently in my final year, having recently completed my fellowship exams.
One of the great things I enjoy about general practice is the great variety of presentations and I see each consulation as an opportunity to further advance my skills as a doctor. I live locally with my wife and am a passionate fisherman, traveller and poultry enthusiast. I’ve always been keen to work at Barrier Reef, having shadowed Ian as his medical student nearly a decade ago
