AppointmentsBRMC offers a flexible appointment system with the ability to accommodate patients with urgent, non-urgent, complex, planned chronic care and preventive health care needs. Please advise our staff of your needs and they will endeavour to accommodate you.
If you are unable to attend your appointment, a phone call would be appreciated to advise staff of your inability to attend. If a patient habitually does not attend a booked appointment it is the policy of this practice to charge a fee for non-attendance.
If you are unable to walk upstairs to see your preferred doctor, please let our receptionists know and they will organise for the doctor to consult with you downstairs.

Health Information for PatientsOur practice has a range of posters, leaflets, brochures and books about health issues. Please ask our staff and they will be happy to help you to receive the most relevant, up to date information regarding your health issue.

After Hours Care Our Doctors provide after-hours care. Please phone the surgery on 07 4051 6299 and our message has the phone number for the Doctor on call as well as the cost of an out-of-hours consultation.

Telephone Access GPs in the practice may be contacted during normal opening hours. A message will be taken and the Doctor will return your call during the day. In an emergency, our nurses are available for advice if the GP is unavailable.

Results Your Doctor will advise when they expect results to arrive at the practice. Please call the surgery and the receptionist will advise if further action is needed. If you require further information regarding your results please make an appointment.

Referrals or Forms Patients requiring a form or referral to be completed by a Doctor without a consultation will be charged a fee. This fee will be on scale depending on the number of pages the Doctor is required to complete.

Interpreter ServicesBarrier Reef Medical Centre will provide, if necessary, an interpreter to help if a patient has difficulty understanding. Please advise our reception staff when making your appointment if you require an interpreter.
